Thanks so much for this video I just got a 1 yr old rescue, he is a longhaired dachshund, He has been in a kennel 10 hours a day for the last 6 months so my problem is I live in a townhome and the only place for him to potty is the rock beds on the side of the sidewalk my 8 yr old dachshund goes there just fine, now I have to teach Koda to do the same thing, and he will sniff around forever and not go, and when he does its hard for me to tell because he doesnt lift his leg LOL wish me luck

so you say "get busy " when your dog already wants to go and you know it. good advice. I'll give it a try.

isnt it just easier to crate train your puppy, so he learns to hold it and only go when hes put outside, or no?

@3333alex What do you mean?Of course you can take your dog outside even if it haven't received all it's vaccination shots, just be careful about approaching strangers with dogs ( I assume it's a puppy you are referring too) since you don't know if those dogs might be carrier of something and/or aren't vaccinated.I started socializing my pup as soon as I got him, but I was extra careful with not letting strangers pet him until he had his last vaccination shot.
